Skincare Favorites

Voila, the latest set of products on heavy rotation in my medicine cabinet. It’s important to me to keep my skincare routine as natural as possible, and by using high-quality, natural products I have really noticed an improvement to my dry, sensitive skin.

Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Milk – This cleanser is amazing, it gently washes away makeup and dirt, while leaving skin soft and smooth, not stripped.

Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer – I use this moisturizer religiously every morning before applying makeup. What I love about this product is that it’s really 3 products in 1: moisturizer, primer, and SPF. It is very moisturizing without being heavy, and is the perfect base for foundation.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir – This light mist is so refreshing and is the perfect pick-me-up for tired, dull skin. I often use it after applying foundation to set my makeup and give my skin a fresh, dewy glow.

Acure Argan Oil – Argan oil has become a beauty staple for me. When my skin is really dry I add a drop or two to my moisturizer and it really does the trick. I also use it on my cuticles to keep them healthy.

Ole Heinriksen Pure Perfection Night Creme – This is a great night cream. It’s light, absorbs well, and when I wake up my skin feels soft and refreshed.

John Masters Organics Lip Calm – I never leave the house without this in my bag, and I constantly apply it throughout the day. It makes my lips soft and smooth, and I love the citrusy scent.

Perfect Pairs

I love this gorgeous new line of precious and semi-precious jewels from Kate Spade called The Royal Bazaar. Simple enough for everyday, yet not boring that no one will notice them.

Dans le rue

One of the things I miss most about Paris is the people-watching and the fabulous, stylish Parisians everywhere. Perusing the street stye snaps on StreetPeeper is the next best thing to being actually being at the Jardin des Tuileries.

Apartment Inspiration

I’m looking forward to May 1st because that’s the day the lease on our new apartment begins. Finding a decent place to live in San Francisco is sort of a nightmare , it took us nearly 4 months to find the right spot but I’m so pleased with what we found. We are finally leaving our cramped, noisy, downtown studio for a sunny and (slightly) more spacious studio in quaint Cole Valley.

Naturally, I’ve been perusing a lot of interior design blogs and magazines lately for ideas on how to decorate our new place. Apartment Therapy is a great inspiration source, and I especially love looking at the smaller apartments and studios featured for creative ideas on how to maximize a small space. I came across this tour of a Swedish design student’s small hi-rise flat and I’m totally obsessed. It’s so colorful and quirky, and full of interesting and vintage items. I had to share it here.
